This week’s Featured Influencer is all about fitness, hard work, and building a community. After competing in Exatlon Estados Unidos, Joseph Padilla is set on documenting his fitness journey on social media. He plans to use his platform to show others the different ways they can stay fit and active. If you have always wanted to show the world your strength, endurance, and speed, Joe Padilla is going to tell you how he did it!
Joe Padilla knows that getting started in fitness is hard, so he breaks down his large goals into smaller tasks. “Sometimes goals can be a little challenging, but you can always challenge yourself and tackle them through just little tasks daily”. Joe started his goals small and gradually they got bigger and bigger. In “JOSEPH PADILLA: CHALLENGE ACCEPTED”, Joe told New Celebrity that he started by posting a video of himself running in the Grand Canyon. That turned into an audition for Lebron James’s Million Dollar Mile. The opportunities continued to manifest when Joe was accepted into Telemundo TV’s Exatlon Estados Unidos. The training was rigorous and being away from home was tough for Joe, but the experience was life-changing. When he came home after elimination, he saw that his social media following grew immensely! He now uses his platform to post exercises tips, advice, his latest workouts, and races. Taking advantage of his social media has helped him gain clients for group exercise and personal training.
For those just starting their fitness journey, the road ahead can be intimidating. Joseph has given us some advice on how to make the journey less daunting. Joe says it can always help to talk to the staff. The employees can give you helpful tips about the equipment and may even offer starter programs with detailed workout and nutrition plans. They can also make sure your workouts are done safely and correctly. Joe mentioned that the most important things when starting your fitness journey are to invest time and stay motivated. “Don’t take practices and training for granted”. If you’re not feeling totally pumped, take a friend. When training for athletic competitions, Joe will exercise with friends. “I’d help them train, we’d help each other train”. However, for those who look for any excuse not to go to the gym, Joe says to try biking, hiking, or maybe even rock climbing. As long as you stay committed and consistent, you will go a long way! Joe is looking to be there for anyone who needs fitness help. “I want to be available”. He builds close relationships with his clientele and hosts group exercise classes that get everyone in shape. He engages with his followers and answers all of their fitness questions. We can’t wait to see what more Joe has in store for the future! With his sights set on more athletic competitions, he is trying to build his brand, and create a community of people who are trying to stay active. Joseph Padilla would have never imagined that this is where he would end up, but he is optimistically accepting the opportunities that come his way.
