Of all the up-and-coming influencers to watch out for in 2021, Kendall Marie C. is the viral catch that vibrantly re-defines “keep your eyes peeled.” The radiant influencer that shines even brighter than the glitter that often ornaments her, comes from humble, yet impassioned beginnings. She started as a professional makeup artist, and through modeling for the U.K company, Got Get Glitter, Kendall went viral for the photos of her with a bare chest, adorned in glitter, walking down the street in Los Angeles. Graciously, Kendall sat down with New Celebrity Entertainment to dish out all of the details on the evolution of her modeling career and how she landed a partnership with Rihanna’s renowned lingerie brand, SavagexFenty.
Kendall recalls the experience of receiving the message from SavagexFenty, still appearing simply awestruck at the opportunity. Excitedly thrown off-guard, Kendall tells us, “I got a DM one night and showed it to some of my friends, saying ‘this is fake right, this has to be a fake account,’” she continued colorfully, “But the checkmark was there and everything!” She also shared what SavagexFenty wrote out to her in their introductory direct message. Kendall smiled as she explained the kind words the iconic brand had to say about her personality and image: “We love what you’re doing, we love your look, we love what a light you are in the world…we want to work with you!” She currently holds a partnership with the Grammy Award-winning artist’s lingerie brand, posting content on social media that showcases specific garments the company sends to her monthly. SavagexFenty’s number one request for the partnership, she shared, is for her to be as authentic as possible with the content she posts of herself in the brand’s products. Yet, for Kendall, authenticity is already well fashioned in her nature.
Kendall credits the opportunity to having separate accounts for her modeling portfolio and funny family videos, presenting some great advice to aspiring influencers out there along the way. “Keep your platforms separate to book different kinds of jobs,” she wisely advised. For Kendall Marie C., keeping her modeling content on a separate Instagram account allows for a seamless organization for booking modeling gigs and lets brands see how well her photos are performing. Kendall shared further, “I think that if I had been putting all of my [modeling photos and funny TikTok videos] together, I don’t think [SavagexFenty] would have reached out to me the same way.”
When asked what her favorite part of the brand is, she answered with an exuberant energy that it’s all chalked up to the brand’s own authenticity and inclusivity! She applauds them for their efforts in creating and designing pieces that fit every size and shape, unlike any other lingerie brand. As SavagexFenty continues to align with her own values, the message that Kendall feels the brand gives off is one that shouts from the mountaintops of positivity, “you are powerful just as you are, and you are unique, just like their pieces.”
The curvy model gives it to us straight: a huge fan of the iconic Marvel character Spiderman when wearing SavagexFenty, “I feel like I can do anything, it’s like a superhero suit,” she said. Kendall presents an infectious enthusiasm in working with brands who promote body inclusivity with their products and models, recalling her work with the inclusive bikini brand, Simply Cheeky Bikinis.
Kendall now focuses on her modeling career as a paid model for lingerie, bikini, and bridal brands. Her dream gigs are to one day walk the runway for SavagexFenty and to be featured in the popular magazine, Sports Illustrated. Although she brings forth her own viral touch on the modeling industry with illuminated love and grace, her passion for marine biology is granted the same approach–just not one seen by 3 million people. Kendall aims to attend school and pursue her dream of becoming a marine biologist to use that energy towards research and conservation. She hopes to take advantage of her modeling platform and bring awareness to important issues.
She has surpassed over 135,000 followers on TikTok and 7.3 million likes across all videos. As it shapes out, the rising influencer has certainly made her mark on THICCTok.
